Rosewood’s defense managed to keep North Johnston out the end zone to stay undefeated.
The Eagles (2-0) won 40-0 as they used turnovers and timely stops to fuel their victory. Rosewood never trailed as they continued its winning ways this week. After rain forced their season opener to Monday, the Eagles had to play two games this week. Rosewood’s defense will face an especially hard challenge on September 2nd against also 2-0 Princeton. The long standing 7-Mile showdown for the first time in history is not a conference game. The game will be at Princeton.
The Panthers (0-2) showed promise throughout the game, but could not punch the ball in. North Johnston will hope to get its first win of the season on the road Thursday against Smithfield-Selma (1-1).
